Our Services

  • Understanding that there is no single approach when treating Substance Use Disorder, A Brighter Day Behavioral Health clinicians employ individualized, person-centered care. Using each patient’s inherent strengths as the cornerstone of the treatment process, A Brighter Day Behavioral Health practices evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), adapted Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skill-Building Techniques, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions to assist patients with restructuring unhealthy thought patterns, reframing negative statements & experiences, removing feelings of guilt and shame, restoring hope, and realizing their capacity to achieve lasting recovery.

  • While some treatment programs may use confrontation, shame, and “tough love” to facilitate change and program adherence, these approaches often produce the opposite effect, damaging the therapeutic relationship, causing individuals to feel alienated from their peers, infiltrating doubt in their capacity to achieve long-term abstinence, reducing their engagement in treatment as well as motivation for recovery, and ultimately increasing risk for return to use.

A Brighter Day Behavioral Health Center’s foundational mission organically aligns with the Contingency Management (CM) therapeutic framework, offering a supportive approach to treatment, placing emphasis on rewarding progress to encourage a healthy process of recovery.
